Located outside of Cleveland, OH
Cuyahoga Valley National Park offers a rich experience that can be completed in just 1-2 days. During our visit, which spanned one evening and a half day, we embarked on numerous hikes, and were able to see park’s stunning natural beauty and diverse landscapes. The entrance fee is free!
The drive is about 30 minutes outside of Cleveland, OH. We stayed the Hampton Inn in downtown Cleveland.
Ledges Trail
This particular hike was the standout highlight of our visit to the park! We were captivated by the striking rock formations along the 2.3-mile loop trail. Ascending to the top of the ledges rewarded us with a breathtaking panoramic view, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
Brandywine Falls
Opting to park at the lot conveniently situated near the trailhead, we embarked on our adventure. Following the boardwalk, which featured steps along the way, we were led to the magnificent Brandywine Falls, a stunning 65-foot waterfall that left us amazed with the natural beauty of the waterfall.
Blue Hen Falls
Our journey to Blue Hen Falls commenced from the Boston Mill Visitor Center, where we made sure to arrive early to secure a parking spot. The trail, totaling 2.5 miles round trip (out and back trail), with a portion alongside a road, made for a great morning hike. Despite the lower water levels, it was still worth the hike.
Coffee: We stopped at Joe Maxx for coffee right outside of the park. Our boys enjoyed the treats that they served there.
Dinner: We went to Oak and Embers. (https://www.oakandembers.com/) The BBQ food was amazing! It was located between downtown Cleveland and the park.
