Acadia National Park is an amazing experience! The combination of scenic drives, breathtaking views, and hikes indeed makes it a remarkable experience. Save time to explore Bar Harbor. We spent three days in Acadia and the surrounding areas so much and we can’t wait to go back.
The Park Entrance Fee:
- $35 for a seven day pass
- Acadia Yearly Pass- $70
- Interagency Annual Pass (includes visits to all National Parks)- $80
We stayed at Under Canvas Acadia (www.undercanvas.com/camps/acadia). Under Canvas offers Glamping near the park. Additionally, the food there was amazing!
You will need a car to explore the area and park.

Cadillac Mountain
Watching the first sunrise on the East Coast at Acadia National Park sounds like an unforgettable experience! You will need to make a reservation through www.recreation.gov. Even if you don’t get a pass for sunrise, (like us), the views and the experience is worth it!
Ocean Path Trail
The Ocean Path Trail starting at Sand Beach and stretching for 2.2 miles (out) along the coastline is indeed a scenic route offering breathtaking views. Otter Cliff and Thunder Hole are two notable landmarks along this trail, each offering their own unique experiences.
Jordan Pond
Embark on a picturesque journey along the enchanting Jordan Pond Path, a captivating 3.1-mile loop winding through diverse terrains. Traverse wooden boardwalks, conquer rocky outcrops, and tread upon earthen trails.
Upon completing the trail, reward yourself with a visit to the esteemed Jordan Pond House. Indulge in their renowned popovers. (They were worth the wait at the restaurant.)
